Each our homes have the prescribed elements of the EarthCraft program installed in them and have been third party inspected to ensure that they meet the stringent requirements of this program before they are given the EarthCraft certification.
90+ AFUE High Efficiency Gas Furnace
Haven Properties, Inc. as part of building your home to meet the Energy Star standards, installs high quality 90+ AFUE Gas furnaces in the HVAC systems, (the unit operates with a sealed combustion chamber receiving all is required fresh air from the exterior of the home and turns 90% or more of the fuel it consumes into heat for your family's comfort). These furnaces run cleaner, quieter and even give off a cool enough exhaust it can be vented using standard schedule 40 PVC, reducing your family's risk to deadly carbon monoxide poisoning. You will realize a tremendous savings on your energy bill.
14 SEER Efficient Air Condition Units
Haven Properties, Inc. as part of building your home to meet the Energy Star standards, installs high quality 14 SEER Air Conditioners on the HVAC systems in your home giving you a remarkable reduction in energy consumption during the hot summer.
"4" pleated filter
"4" pleated filters will trap up to eight times the contaminants and keep them from entering your home versus the conventional air filters installed in the standard “builder supplied” air conditioner systems. Please compare the size and convenience of one of our “4" pleated filters with the conventional type of air filters that are usually used in the typical “builder supplied HVAC system”. (The manufacturer recommends the “4" pleated filter be changed annually as opposed to the 4 or more times requirements of the conventional filters).
High-Efficiency /Direct Vent Gas Water Heater
Haven Properties, Inc. installs in each of its home a 50 gallon High-Efficiency Gas Water Heater (the unit operates with a sealed combustion chamber receiving all its required fresh air from the exterior of the home and maximizes its fuel source giving lots of hot water for your family's use) these hot water heaters run cleaner, quieter and even give off a cool enough exhaust it can be directly-vented through the exterior walls of your home, reducing your family's risk to deadly carbon monoxide poisoning. Your benefits are a much cleaner in the home environment with reduced water heating cost.
Range hood vented to the Exterior
Haven Properties, Inc. installs a direct vent to the exterior from your range hood giving you the ability to reduce the build-up of moisture (steam) and at times the unpleasant cooking odors from you kitchen and home.
Formaldehyde-Free, Energy Efficient Insulation
We insulate your home to the recommended Energy Star Standards with insulation that is manufactured utilizing an innovative new acrylic binder that eliminates binder-related formaldehyde emissions during the manufacturing process, and after installation it will not off-gas formaldehyde inside your home. No formaldehyde means fewer things to worry about that would be harmful to your family's health.

We introduce fresh filtered air into your HVAC filtering system giving you a cleaner, more comfortable and healthier home.

Programmable Thermostats
Your home receives programmable thermostats on each of your HVAC systems installed on your home. Allowing you to program your comfort level and energy savings to fit your lifestyle.
Weather Seals
Weather seals when installed in the field are called “sill sealers”, actually they are 3 ½” to 5 ½ “ strips of closed-cell foam. Sill Sealers are usually blue in color. They are placed underneath the exterior sill plates on each floor to act an infiltration barrier preventing wind and moisture from penetrating the home providing you with improved indoor air quality, increased energy efficiency as well as a quieter home.
Wall Framing and Insulation
As part of our energy savings features, we include the wood framing (2x4) studs next to all the poured concrete foundation walls and install the insulation between each of these studs to ensure you receive a completely insulated heating and cooling building envelope. This makes it very easy to finish your basement later.
Wood I-Beam Floor Joist and ¾” T&G Plywood Floor System
We begin with an engineered wood joist floor system and then install Tongue & Grooved ¾” plywood flooring that is glued and screwed to each joist ensuring you are receiving a stronger and much quieter floor.
Passive Radon Ventilation*
Radon gas is known to be one of the leading causes of lung cancer. Haven Properties, Inc., with your family's health in mind, goes the extra mile and installs a passive soil gas vent in the slabs of all our homes. (This pipe extends from the slab to the roof to providing ventilation of any soil gases to the exterior of the home). *Some homes initially received a stub that could later be ran to the exterior if the presence of soil gases was ever detected inside the home.
Termite Elimination System
This termite baiting and treatment system is professionally installed around the perimeter of your home and is periodically monitored by your installer to give you the peace of mind knowing you have no termites near your home. This system will keep the soil under and around your home site free from the harmful spraying of chemical treatments that could adversely affect your family's health as well as cause potential harm to the environment and your home.
Category 5 Phone / Internet Wiring
Everyone expects their homes and home offices to accommodate multiple phone lines, the internet, video distribution, data and security, fax machines, service home automation, and other entertainment services. Category 5 cables have a bandwidth of 80 MHz (megahertz) and can handle 100 megabits per second and have sufficient capacity to handle the needs of nearly all home based office applications. We install Category 5 Phone / Internet wiring in all our homes.

Haven Properties, Inc. can provide you the documentation required for you to receive an Energy Efficient Mortgage (The Energy Star rating allows your home to receive a higher appraised value based on your utility savings) through our own consumer lending arm Haven Mortgage or other participating lenders.

Haven Properties, Inc. provides you with a HBW 10yr. Insured structural warranty in addition to our Haven Properties, Inc.'s one year limited warranty.
Insulated Attic Access Hatch
Drop down attic access can allow uncontrolled air to flow into or out of your home. At Haven Properties, Inc. we install an insulated access hatch that seals off any gaps left between the pull down stairs and the attic floor. This helps to eliminate the release or intrusion of this airflow in the home and provide a more comfortable living environment.
